Colosio 1600T Die Casting Machine

Fixed and Moving Vertical Platen Machining. Due to surface wear and operational degradation, Metalock is preparing to carry out precision re-machining of the vertical fixed and moving platen surfaces on a die casting machine.

The work will involve on-site machining to restore flatness, alignment, and surface integrity of the platen faces, ensuring proper machine performance and maintaining accurate clamping conditions during production.

By re-establishing the correct tolerances and surface finish, the machining process will help extend the service life of the machine, reduce operational issues, and improve overall production reliability.

Pipelaying vessel - 5600 Main Reel Shaft bearing journal machining

The overall length of the shaft is 14500mm long. FREE END 1180mm diameter x 1000 long and FIXED END 1800 diameter x 2700mm long.

Both ends were round and parallel and in alignment within 0.10 mm

This accuracy ensures smooth operation and minimum stress on the bearings.
